Indo Pak Team: Discover the Story Behind Our Name

We are a group of four families, each with unique backgrounds and professions, united by our love for cooking and our shared belief in promoting intercultural harmony. Our discussions over dinner sparked a vision that soon became a reality – an authentic food festival showcasing the homemade cuisine of India and Pakistan.

Managing DIRECTOR


FARIHA ZAHID

Fariha was born & raised in Pakistan within a family of food lovers who embraced the art of cooking. She moved to the UK 18 years ago. While working in primary care, Fariha has developed a strong bond with her local community & is enthusiastic to share the rich culinary heritage of Pakistan. She has successfully raised funds for various charities through her cooking endeavours.

Rajan Jolly

Rajan moved to the UK in 2001 and, since then, has been actively involved in community work. He started Eastleigh and Southampton Asian Community (ESAC) a few years ago to bring people together and celebrate the rich culture it offers. The Indo-Pak Food Festival is another step in that direction to introduce the varied cuisine from this region.

Imran Ghafoor

Imran is an NHS consultant working in the UK. Originally from Pakistan, he enjoys exploring his interests in food, music, and sports. He loves supporting local charities and is passionate about bringing people together and making a positive impact in his community and beyond.

meenakshi jolly

Meenakshi was born and raised in Delhi and moved to Hampshire over two decades ago.  Family, food and fun are an integral part of her life. Indo Pak food festival has been a wonderful experience for her both as an organiser and as a home cook who loves cooking authentic Indian food.

MUNAZA HUSSAIN

Munaza was born & brought up in Pakistan. She moved to the UK in the late 90s after living in Sweden for a few years. She loves cooking for her family and friends. Organising Indo-Pak Food Festival & participating in it has been an incredible experience for her. In additon to her culinary pursuits, Munaza works in secondary education, where she uses her skills to inspire the next generation.

PRIYA JAIN

Priya was born and raised in India and residing in the United Kingdom for the last 17 years with her husband and 2 kids. She works in a secondary school. Family and home-cooked food are integral parts of her life. Organizing and cooking for Indo-Pak Food Festival has been an amazing experience for her to enjoy and serve home-cooked food to the local community.

MANISH JAIN

Manish is an IT Consultant by profession from India, he now lives and works in the United Kingdom. He loves spending time reading books and current affairs on business and with his wife and two young kids. Family and Friends are integral parts of his life. Indo-Pak Food Festival is a beautiful journey for him to have fun with family & friends.
